Dial is a music player for your own Jellyfin server. The short version: Dial has no account system, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and the developer receives no data about you or your music. Everything Dial shows comes from your server or from the public services listed below.
What stays on your devices and your server
- Your server address, your sign-in (kept in the Apple Keychain, or in the app's private storage on Android), your favorites, playlists, listening history and the mixes Dial makes are stored on your own server and your own devices.
- If you use Dial on more than one device, they talk to each other through your Jellyfin server so playback can follow you. Nothing goes through any server of ours.
- The optional Dial plugin runs inside your Jellyfin server and caches its results in the plugin's folder.
- The DJ's spoken lines are written on your device (Apple's on-device model where available). Nothing about your listening is sent to an AI service.
Public services Dial may contact
Only what is needed to show the feature you are using. These requests contain names or IDs of artists, albums or songs (and your IP address, as any request does), never your account or your listening history.

| MusicBrainz, Cover Art Archive | New releases, album track lists, genres, album covers |

Each of these has its own privacy policy. Dial does not send them anything else.
